Job Description |
[Introduction] The position is to handle broad range of administration and coordinating work to organize events/projects in the field of Japanese studies, performing arts, visual arts, film, etc. with an aim of enhancing friendly relationship between Japan and Malaysia. The work involves working with both Malaysian and Japanese Government officials, as well as various arts and creative industry sectors. For further information about events/projects operated by the Japan Foundation, please refer to the following website. http://www.jpf.go.jp/e/project/index.html [Administration for the JFKL events/projects] (1)Handling necessary governmental permissions and administrative procedures for running the events/project such as:
(2) Liaisoning, contacting and writing official letters to government officials for the various requests. (3) Tasks may involve human relation and general administration for the whole JFKL employers, such as working VISA, insurance, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, parking, security, cleaning and office management [Coordination of JFKL events/projects] (4) Assisting planning, implementing and reporting of JFKL events/projects such as conference, networking program, performing arts, exhibition, film festival, fellowship and grant including working as an Front of House, exhibition installation, importing/exporting films and other materials, attending guest and artists, travelling arrangements and so on. [ Other ](5) Assisting such other duties and matters as JFKL may assign from time to time. [Conclusion] It is a position required to have high skill of task management, be able to work both independently and as a team, be proactive in building network and expanding knowledge to the new field, and committed to devote in international exchange of Japan and Malaysia. Although the task will be under supervise and direction of the senior officers who produces the events/projects, it is much encouraged for the person to take active part in charge as well as to develop new ideas and to contribute to more effective work |

Condition |
1. Working Day and Time Monday to Friday 8:30 to 16:30 (Lunch Time 12:30 to14:00) Working on weekends may be required depending on the events/projects schedule and will be compensated by either replacement leave or overtime pay. Overtime work may be required and will be fully paid according to Malaysian Employment Act 2. Other Condition (1) Salary – RM 3,000-3,500 depending on experience (2) Holidays: Saturday and Sunday, and other holidays determined by JFKL. (3) Leave: Annual Leave 8 days, Medical Leave 14 days per fiscal year. (4) Entitlement includes personal/accident insurance, transportation allowance, EPF, EIS, SOCSO and other additional benefits to the employees. |
Requirements |
1. Possess a University Degree 2. Age: Around 30 to 45 (negotiable). 3. Language: Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with an excellency in writing. Japanese language skill would be an advantage. 4. Relevant full-time work experience would be given preference. 5. Basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and Power Point 6.Good communication and task management skills 7. Able to work in a team 8. Strong commitment to arts, culture and cultural exchange |
