Coinciding with the 400th anniversary since William Shakespeare’s death, Nyoba Kan?s annual celebration of butoh honours the playwright?s legacy with two different adaptations of Richard III, as interpreted by the directorial eyes of Lee Swee Keong and Loh Kok Man respectively. Noted Japanese dancer and butoh artist Nobuyoshi Asai will feature in the latter’s vision, as well as conduct a one-day workshop for individuals interested in delving into the enigmatic art form.
