Jointly organised by Universiti Sains Malaysia?s School of the Arts and The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur, the initiative is aimed at bringing together traditional music talents in Malaysia and Japan to create new collaborative songs with reference to the melodic heritage of both countries. Kicking off in Penang last December, the project will culminate in a series of performances.
