“Refined Colors” is a project created jointly by the lighting designer of Dumb Type Takayuki Fujimoto, and Monochrome Circus’ founder Kosei Sakamoto, both from Kyoto. This dance performance using only LED lighting to light up the performance, will reconstruct Malaysian sceneries using dance, computer technology and LED lights. This lighting technology can create an amazing range of colour variations from only three primary colours light-emitting diodes, “Red, Green, Blue” and operate by a minimum of equipment, a moderate power supply and the LED unit.
Kuala Lumpur is the third destination of their Asian Tour, after Bangkok and Singapore. Different version of “Refined Colors” will be created at each city respectively under the same theme of “Colours” and “Travel”. Local performers will work with the group as guides to the sights of Malaysia, before creating and performing with the group.
