Romantic World of Hornmusic – Mizuno Nobuyuki Horn Trio New Year Concert

JFKL proudly celebrates the new year of 2009 with very beautiful and romantic horn music by horn trio ensemble led by Mr. Mizuno Nobuyuki, who has been a leading horn master of Japan. Mr. Mizuno had based in Germany since 1970 for over 30 years and played with some prominent orchestras there such as the Aachen Opera House Orchestra and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra as principal horn.

For this New Year concert Mr. Mizuno brings other wonderful musicians,Ms. Matsuoka Mie(piano) andMs.Saburi Kyoko(Violin).

We promise rich and happy sound of horn music will enchant you. They will entertain you with the evergreen beauty of classical music pieces and the wonderful Japanese pieces as well. You can lean your back and just enjoy the soothing sound of the music.

Profile:

Mizuno Nobuyuki (Horn)

He began studying the horn in his high school day, and from 1970 to 1975 studied with M.Ziller and M.Holtzel at the Detmold Musikhochshule. In 1973 he won the second prize at the German Musikhochshule Competition. In 1983 he gained a degree with honor from the London Royal College of Music.

From 1975 to 1980 he engaged with Aachener Opera Orchestra and from 1980 to 2003 with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra as principal horn. He received a prize of the 4th Global Music Awards in 1990. After staying in Germany for 33 years, in 2003 he put his base into Japan playing as solo and in chamber music.

He is a member of the Saito Kinen Orchestra and the Mito Chamber Orchestra. He is now professor at the Tokyo College of Music, and teaches at several universities.

Saburi Kyoko(Violin)

She is a solo violinist, graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music, Japan, studied at Cologne College of Music, Germany, and Wien City College of Music, Austria.

She won the second award in the 55th Music Competition of Japan, the third award in “Maria Canals” Barcelona International Musical Execution Competition, special award in Ruggiero Ricci Competition, Aoyama Music Award in Japan.

These days, she often plays as soloist and as concert mistress for various orchestras, such as Tokyo Philharmonic, Osaka Symphoniker, Gunma Symphony Orchestra, and Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also actively associated with several music festivals in Japan, such as Miyazaki Music Festival, Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto, etc.

She is a member of Japan Chamber Orchestra as well as Saito Kinen Orchestra.

Matsuoka Mie (Piano)

She started playing piano at the age of four. When she was still in high school, she won the first prize of the duo section at the PTNA piano competition in Japan. She graduated from Toho Gakuen College of Music, Tokyo, Japan in 1995. She has studied under Professor Yuko Ninomiya, Professor Huseyin Sermet and others.

Artistic successes at several competitions, the Finalist in the solo section PTNA piano competition, recognize her talent. Since then she has performed in concerts as soloist with orchestra and also in chamber music with members of Saito-Kinen Orchestra, Bamberg Symphony and many famous artists frequently.

In 2005, she won the best accompanist prize in the international competition Markneukirchen in Germany.
