Good news for movie fans!! The Japanese Film Festival is coming back again this September for its 9th year in Malaysia! We will be screening 12 latest and hottest Japanese films over 6 days in Klang Valley and 4 days in Penang. This year?s Japanese Film Festival is opening with a brand new title ?Key of Life?, a suspense comedy, Malaysian audience can enjoy prior to its commercial release in Japan! This Best Screenplay Award winner at the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival is still receiving a lot of invitations to international film festivals all around the world.
Other highlights are ‘REBIRTH’, which has won 10 major awards at Japan Academy Prize this year, internationally acclaimed director KORE-EDA Hirokazu’s another great work with children ?I Wish?, ?Death of a Japanese Salesman? is an entertaining documentary that tells a story about an ending note a retired sales representative wrote for his family, and your children will love ?Ninja Kids!!!? if they are familiar with the TV animation ?Ninja Boys? as this is the live-action version of it.
This Japanese Film Festival 2012 is organized by The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur and co-organized with Golden Screen Cinemas sponsored by Mitsubishi Corporation. The ticket price is RM5 per screening. All films are in Japanese with English subtitles.
